Kanna is a Japanese singer, songwriter, composer, producer and model. Born and raised in Akita, the snowy northeastern region of Japan, Kanna started playing musical instruments such as piano, flute, violin, trumpet and drums, mostly for classical music at an early age. Her musical influences vary from pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, soul, house, electronica, ambient, trip hop, neo-soul, reggae, bossa nova, jazz, classical to others with soul. Her versatile, borderless, eclectic and artistic style attracts people from all over the world. Currently she is based in Tokyo and actively performs domestically and overseas.
